Vertical Booking is compliant with level 3 PCI DSS - Payment with CC

The Vertical Booking website booking form allows for memorisation of credit card data as a guarantee for payment at the hotel or for receiving payment directly from a credit card using a payment gateway, which can be both visible and invisible (in the background) to the user so the user only has to insert his/her card data once.

Vertical Booking is compliant with level 3 PCI DSS security standards.
PCI is the entity responsible for Data Security Standards (DSS) in terms of payments with credit cards.
The entity responsible for PCI protection standards is a company based in Delaware (USA), founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc.
These five payment brands equally share the governing Council.

Level 3 PCI DSS
Level 3 refers to a service provider that archives, processes and transfers up to 1,000,000 of transactions a year.
Level 3 validation requires:

Successful completion of a scan (system security check) every 4 months carried out by an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) or a company certified by PCI (in Vertical Booking’s case, the company is KIMA)
 

Annual self-certification about a series of security requisites listed in PDI DSS protocols.
